Brief

25 years ago, large swathes of the Midlands landscape had been left scarred by centuries of coal mining and other heavy industry. Today, the National Forest, the first forest to be created at scale in England for over 1000 years, has transformed the landscape from black to green. It is also home to three charities who had a shared vision for the creation of a new mass-participation, fund-raising outdoor challenge. Who better to turn to than TrailPlus.

Outcome

Following a rigorous feasibility study, the National Forest Trek was created. A fully supported, three-day Trek along the whole 75 miles of the National Forest Way. From brand and website creation to the development of marketing and operational plans, passionate TrailPlus was at the heart of bringing the event to fruition amidst the pandemic challenges. The inaugural 2021 National Forest Trek was received to unprecedented customer feedback and, importantly, above-target average fund-raising levels. TrailPlus will be walking together with the charity partners again for 2022.
